Art & Artefacts
In the first edition of our Art and Artefacts series, we are delighted to feature the work of a father–daughter duo whose creations are as thoughtful as they are timeless.
There is something deeply grounding about art that is made slowly.
Not assembled or produced, but crafted. Piece by piece. Fragment by fragment. With patience, intent, and care.
The murals created by P.K. Choudhary (Retd. IAS) and Rachana Choudhary (CA) belong to this rare kind of art. Their work is not just visual. It is lived.

In a world that often separates professions from passions, this duo quietly brings them together.
A former civil servant and a chartered accountant, two seemingly structured worlds come alive in deeply expressive, handcrafted mosaic murals. Each piece is the result of weeks, sometimes months, of meticulous labour, where fragments of tile and colour are brought together into something whole and meaningful.
Even at 87, P.K. Choudhary continues to hand-shape tiles with remarkable dedication and precision, treating art not merely as a pursuit, but as a way of life. Together with his daughter Rachana, the journey becomes even more meaningful, a shared passion brought to life through art.
What emerges is not just art, but a shared journey of collaboration, patience, and an unspoken understanding between two generations.
Across their collections, one theme remains constant: life as it is lived in its quiet, everyday beauty.

In Whispers of the Divine, the murals explore spirituality, mythology, and the timeless symbolism found in Indian traditions. From Ardhanarishwar and Siya-Ram to Buddha, Krishna, and Kamadhenu, the collection reflects harmony, devotion, balance, and inner stillness through intricate mosaic storytelling.

In Threads of Togetherness, the murals celebrate family, companionship, and enduring bonds, capturing moments that are simple yet deeply meaningful.

In A Thousand Versions of Me, the focus shifts to women, their strength, grace, labour, and inner worlds. From fisherwomen to moments of adornment and reflection, each piece becomes a quiet ode to resilience and identity.

In Our Four-Legged Family, the lens expands to include animals, loyal companions and spirited beings that bring warmth into our lives.
What makes their work distinctive is the medium itself.
Each mural is crafted from small, broken pieces. On their own, they may seem incomplete. Together, they form something vibrant and alive.
There is a quiet metaphor here. Much like life and much like wealth, meaning often lies not in a single piece, but in how the pieces come together.
Their murals capture strength softened by companionship, the dignity of everyday lives, the intimacy of shared moments, devotion, balance, and the spirit of freedom and identity.
These are not grand statements. They are gentle observations of relationships, rhythm, memory, and presence.

Perhaps the most striking aspect of their work is how seamlessly it blends into daily life.
These murals are not confined to galleries. They live in homes, on walls, in spaces where conversations happen and life unfolds.
As their work reflects, art and artist often coexist in the same space, creating a quiet harmony between creation, home, and everyday living.
At Entrust, we often speak about wise wealth. Wealth that is thoughtful, intentional, and rooted in meaning.
Art like this embodies that philosophy. It is patient. It is personal. It is enduring.
It reminds us that value is not always about scale or speed, but about care, craftsmanship, and the stories we choose to preserve.
If this body of work resonates with you, we would be happy to connect you with the artists and help you explore how such pieces can become a meaningful part of your space and your story.
